AR-15 – Bolt Carrier Group – EXO Nickel Boron – No Hammer
PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK DETAILS AND FITMENT BEFORE PURCHASE.
FailZero built this complete AR-15 bolt carrier group as a drop-in assembly for mil-spec AR-15 upper receivers, finished with the company’s EXO nickel boron coating for reduced friction, easier cleanup, and hard-use durability. It comes assembled and ready to install.
This is the semi-auto AR-15 profile version, not the M16/M4 profile. That difference matters, so do not treat them like interchangeable listing fluff just because both are called BCGs.
Fitment
- Fits most mil-spec AR-15 upper receivers
- Compatible with AR-15 pattern rifles chambered for common .223 Remington, 5.56 NATO, and .300 Blackout setups using standard AR-15 carrier geometry
- Complete assembled bolt carrier group
Does NOT fit
- Not the M16/M4 carrier profile version
- Do not assume compatibility with every proprietary carrier system or non-mil-spec upper
What it does
This is the core cycling unit for the rifle. It handles feeding, locking, firing sequence support, extraction, and cycling. The EXO nickel boron coating is meant to keep friction down and cleanup easier than a plain phosphate-style setup.
Why it’s worth it
FailZero built its name on nickel boron for a reason. If you want a complete AR-15 BCG that stays slick, wipes down easier, and doesn’t need a bunch of marketing poetry to justify its existence, this is one of the cleaner plays.

Install notes
Verify headspace and overall rifle function if you are mixing parts from different manufacturers. Always inspect gas key staking, extractor tension, and carrier movement before serious use.
Verify before you buy
Verify you need the AR-15 carrier profile version, not the M16/M4 version. Verify to prevent returns: carrier profile matters.
