Real Avid — AR-15 Pin Punch Set with Hammer (Accu-Punch)
This kit is purpose-built for AR-15 pin work: installs, upgrades, tear-downs, and “why won’t this roll pin start?” moments. You get an ergonomic hammer with interchangeable heads, the AR-relevant punch sizes, and specialty tools that make the annoying stuff (like the bolt catch roll pin) way more controlled.
Fitment
- Designed for AR-15 maintenance and assembly tasks involving standard pins and roll pins.
- Standard pin punches: 3/32", 1/8", 9/64", 5/32".
- Roll pin punches: 1/16", 5/64", 1/8".
- Specialty AR tools included: 3/32" bolt catch roll pin starter & roll pin punch, non-marring finishing punch, staking punch, pin alignment tool.
- Hammer: ergonomic grip with 4 interchangeable heads (rubber, brass, steel, nylon).
- Stored in a stand-up case for organized access.
Does NOT fit
- Not a complete “AR build kit” — it won’t replace an armorer’s wrench, torque wrench, vise block, or barrel tools.
- If you’re working on platforms that use different pin sizes (some proprietary rifles), verify your pin diameters first.
Tools needed
- Bench block (recommended) to support parts while driving pins.
- Painter’s tape (recommended) to protect receiver/rail finish near the work area.
- Safety glasses (always).
Install notes
- Start pins straight: use the pin alignment tool to line things up before you start tapping.
- Use the starter where it matters: the bolt catch roll pin starter helps you begin that pin cleanly (aka fewer slips and fewer scratches).
- Pick the right hammer head: softer faces (rubber/nylon) near finish-sensitive areas; brass/steel when you need more authority.
- Controlled hits win: light taps to start, then firm strikes once everything’s supported. If the part is flexing, you’re doing it the hard way.

⚠ Install & Compatibility Disclaimer: Always confirm the firearm is unloaded before any work. Improper disassembly/assembly can cause unsafe function. If you’re not confident, use a qualified armorer/gunsmith and perform a full function/safety check after reassembly.
⚠ Trademark & Compatibility Disclaimer: Brand and model names are used only to describe compatibility. AR-pattern receivers and pin sizes can vary—verify your platform and pin requirements before ordering.
