PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK DETAILS AND FITMENT BEFORE PURCHASE.

Timney’s Alpha Competition Trigger for Glock Gen 3–4 pistols is a competition-focused trigger upgrade built to clean up the break, reduce pull weight, and give the gun a sharper, more deliberate press than the factory setup. This black version uses Timney’s internal pivoting safety shoe and is designed around stock Glock Gen 3 and Gen 4 double-stack 9mm, .40 S&W, and .357 SIG pistols.

This trigger is factory rated at a 3 lb pull weight and uses a straight aluminum trigger shoe with NP3-coated fire control surfaces to help cut friction and smooth out the press. Available options are organized below under Variants.

Fitment

  • Fits stock Glock Gen 3 and Gen 4 pistols
  • Fits G17, G19, G22, G23, G26, G27, G31, G32, G33, G34, and G35
  • Compatible caliber family confirmed for 9mm, .40 S&W, and .357 SIG double-stack standard-frame models

Does NOT fit

  • Does not fit large-frame Glock models such as G20, G21, G29, G30, G40, or G41
  • Does not fit slimline models such as G42, G43, G43X, or G48
  • Does not fit Glock 19X, G45, or other Gen 5-only pattern pistols
  • Only compatible with stock Glock pistols

What it does

This trigger is built to reduce pull weight, clean up the break, and give your Gen 3–4 Glock a more refined competition-style feel. The internal pivoting safety shoe changes the feel compared to a traditional center blade, while the NP3-coated trigger bar and sear help reduce drag during operation.

Why it’s worth it

If your stock trigger feels like it was designed by men who hate happiness, this is the kind of upgrade that wakes the pistol up. It keeps the familiar Glock layout but gives you a lighter, crisper press that feels far more intentional.

Install notes

Timney says this trigger can be installed without a gunsmith, but this is still a function-critical fire control part. Install it correctly, verify safe operation, and perform full function testing before live fire. This is not the place for guesswork and optimism.

Verify before you buy

Verify your pistol is a stock Glock Gen 3 or Gen 4 double-stack standard-frame model and not a large-frame or slimline variant. Verify you want the black internal pivoting safety version before ordering.
