Hellcat Action Enhancement Trigger Kit (Color Options: Black or Red)
The Apex Tactical Specialties Action Enhancement Trigger Kit is a direct drop-in trigger upgrade for the Springfield Armory Hellcat and Hellcat Pro pistols. Choose your color (Black or Red) and get the same performance: a smoother press, shorter travel and reset, and a cleaner, crisper break—without reducing factory safety values.
What it’s for / why it matters: The Hellcat line is built to carry—small, snappy, and not exactly famous for a “buttery” trigger. This kit is built to make the gun easier to run consistently by tightening up the press and reset so your sights don’t get bullied off target when you’re shooting at real carry-gun speed.

- Reduces trigger pull weight to approximately 5.0–5.5 lb after break-in (varies by pistol)

Appearance note: Apex may ship a visually distinct “Type 3” style trigger body (chamfered front corners and decorative face cuts). Performance remains the same—only the look changes.
Fitment
- For use in all current Springfield Armory Hellcat pistols, including (but not limited to) Hellcat RDP and Hellcat Pro.
- CA-compliant Hellcats: assembly can differ slightly due to the magazine disconnect system.
Does NOT fit
- Not for use in any other Springfield Armory pistol model.
- Not tested in H11 model pistols (European models).
- Not tested in the Hellcat Micro-Compact OSP .380 ACP — installation is not recommended at this time.
Tools needed
- Punch set (for frame pins)
- Bench block or supportive surface (recommended)
- Small non-marring hammer (optional)
- Small pick/flat tool (helpful for spring control)
- Eye protection (recommended)
Install notes
- DO: Verify the pistol is unloaded and keep ammunition out of the work area.
- DO: Follow a step-by-step install process and keep spring orientation correct.
- DO: If installing into a CA-compliant Hellcat, confirm proper magazine disconnect lever orientation during reassembly.
- DO: Perform a full function check after install (trigger operation, reset, striker engagement, and safe operation).
- DO: Test fire for reliability before trusting it for carry/defensive use.
- DON’T: Force pins or parts—if something won’t seat, stop and re-check alignment.
- DON’T: Install in excluded/not-tested models listed above.
