Glock 19/19X/45 Gen 5 – Alpha Pack Complete Spring Kit – Tuning Kit
PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK DETAILS AND FITMENT BEFORE PURCHASE.
The IronKells Armory Alpha Pack Complete Spring Kit is built for Glock 19, Glock 19X, and Glock 45 Gen 5 9mm pistols when you want more control over how the gun cycles, tracks, resets, and feels under recoil. This kit gives you the main spring tuning pieces needed to clean up the pistol without turning the build into a guessing game.
This compact-frame Gen 5 kit includes recoil springs for slide-speed tuning, striker springs for trigger feel and ignition force, a 25% extra-power trigger return spring for stronger reset feel, and a reduced-power safety plunger spring to help smooth the trigger press. You are not changing the gun’s personality — you are cleaning up the rough edges.
Compact Frame Tuning Stack
Recoil springs tune slide speed. Striker springs affect trigger feel and ignition force. The trigger return spring gives the reset more authority. The plunger spring smooths the press. Tune one system at a time, because stacking parts blindly is how pistols start acting haunted.
Fitment
- Fits Glock 19 Gen 5 9mm.
- Fits Glock 19X Gen 5 9mm.
- Fits Glock 45 Gen 5 9mm.
- Recoil spring fitment is built around compact Gen 5 Glock 19-pattern recoil spring tuning setups.
- Striker springs are reduced-power Glock striker springs used for trigger-feel and ignition-force tuning.
- Trigger return spring is a 25% extra-power Gen 5-style trigger return spring for stronger reset feel.
- Safety plunger spring is a reduced-power safety plunger spring for smoothing the trigger press.
Does NOT Fit
- Does not fit Glock 17 or Glock 34 recoil spring systems.
- Does not fit Glock 26, 43, 43X, 48, or other slimline/subcompact recoil systems.
- Does not fit Gen 1–4 Glock 19 recoil systems unless you are using a compatible aftermarket guide rod/spring setup made for that configuration.
- Reduced-power striker springs are not a blind carry/duty shortcut. Test your exact ammo hard before relying on any tuned setup.
Setup Guide / Compatibility Breakdown
| Recoil Springs — 13 lb and 15 lb | Controls slide speed, cycling behavior, recoil feel, compact-frame Gen 5 tuning, and ammo-specific setups. |
| Striker Springs — 4 lb, 4.5 lb, and 6 lb | Affects trigger feel and primer ignition force. |
| Trigger Return Spring — 25% Extra-Power Style | Helps reset feel and trigger return authority. |
| Safety Plunger Spring — Reduced-Power Style | Helps smooth the trigger press through the firing pin safety plunger movement. |
Note: Recoil and trigger tuning depend on the full setup, including ammo pressure, compensator design, slide mass, optic weight, striker condition, connector geometry, lubrication, and break-in. Live-fire testing is mandatory.
Forge Files Starting Point
On Glock 19/19X/45 Gen 5 setups, the 15 lb recoil spring is the safer starting point for hotter ammo or carry-style testing. The 13 lb recoil spring is better suited for softer range ammo, faster shooting, and lighter cycling setups. Tune recoil first. If slide speed is wrong, the rest of the gun starts speaking nonsense.
What It Does
This kit lets you tune the spring forces that affect slide speed, recoil feel, trigger weight, ignition force, and reset. The recoil springs control how fast the slide cycles. The striker springs adjust trigger feel and primer ignition force. The trigger return spring helps sharpen reset. The reduced-power safety plunger spring helps smooth out the trigger press without removing the factory safety system.
Why It’s Worth It
Factory Glock spring setups are built to work acceptably with a wide range of ammo and shooters. That is reliable, but it is still a compromise. The Alpha Pack gives you a controlled way to tune the gun around how you actually shoot — range ammo, hotter loads, faster follow-up shots, or a cleaner trigger feel.

Install Notes
- Tune one system at a time.
- Start with the recoil spring, test function, then move into striker and trigger spring tuning.
- Reduced-power striker springs can improve trigger feel, but they can also reduce primer ignition force.
- Always test with the exact ammo you plan to run.
Striker Spring Guidance
- The 4.5 lb spring is the usual balance point for smoother feel and practical reliability.
- The 6 lb spring favors stronger ignition.
- The 4 lb spring should be treated as a range/competition tuning spring and tested hard before trusting it.
Verify Before You Buy
- Verify that your pistol is a Glock 19 Gen 5, Glock 19X Gen 5, or Glock 45 Gen 5 before ordering.
- The recoil springs are the fitment-critical part of this kit.
- Compact-frame Gen 5 recoil systems are not the same as full-size, subcompact, or slimline Glock recoil systems.
- After installation, function test the firearm unloaded, then live-fire test with your actual ammo before carrying, competing, or relying on the setup.
