STRIKER SPRINGS NOTES: SMOOTH TRIGGER, BUT WATCH YOUR BACK
So, you dropped in a lightened striker spring (4lb-5lb) to get that glass-rod break. Smart move… but remember:
- Lighter spring = less force hitting the primer.
- Soft primers = no problem.
- Hard primers? Better have a backup gun ready.
That’s why we ONLY run soft-primer ammo with these setups—because "click" in a fight ain’t a punchline.

Let’s get one thing straight: cheap ammo = cheap performance. You wouldn’t put regular gas in a race car, and you sure as hell shouldn’t throw trash ammo into your finely tuned machine.
Here’s where rookies screw up:
Lightened trigger setups + bargain ammo = CLICK instead of BANG. That’s what happens when you run hard primers with a light striker spring—it’s like trying to punch through a wall with a pool noodle.
The fix? SOFT PRIMERS. Always.
