Glock Gen 1–5 Striker Spring Kit – 4 lb / 4.5 lb / 6 lb Trigger Tuning Springs
PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK DETAILS AND FITMENT BEFORE PURCHASE.
The IronKells Armory Glock Striker Spring Kit is built for shooters who want to tune trigger feel, ignition strength, and reset behavior the right way — not by guessing, praying, and blaming the gun when it acts possessed. This kit gives you multiple striker spring weights so you can match your setup to your trigger, connector, ammo, and intended use.
Striker springs affect more than trigger pull weight. They also affect primer ignition, reliability, and how the whole fire-control system feels. Lighter is not automatically better. Heavier is not automatically safer. The right setup is the one that runs clean with your parts and your ammo.
Spring Weight Options
- 4 lb striker spring — lightest trigger feel, highest testing requirement
- 4.5 lb striker spring — common tuning middle ground
- 6 lb striker spring — stronger ignition, closer to duty/reliability-minded setups
Fitment
- Fits most Glock Gen 1–5 striker-fired pistol platforms that use standard Glock-pattern striker springs
- Useful for Glock trigger tuning, connector pairing, and spring balancing
- Works with factory-style striker assemblies when compatibility is verified
Does NOT fit
- Does not replace proper function testing
- Does not guarantee ignition with every ammo brand or primer type
- Do not assume fit with non-standard aftermarket striker systems unless verified
- Do not install lighter striker springs and carry the pistol without testing your actual defensive ammo
Trigger Tuning Setup Guide
| Setup Goal | Striker Spring | Connector Pairing | Best Use | Testing Priority |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Light Competition Feel | 4 lb | 3.0–3.5 lb connector | Range / competition | Very high — test primers hard |
| Balanced Tuned Carry | 4.5 lb | 3.5 lb connector | EDC after proper testing | High — test carry ammo |
| Reliability-First Setup | 6 lb | Factory or duty-style connector | Duty / defensive / hard-use | Standard full function test |
Note: These are setup guidelines, not guaranteed trigger pull numbers. Actual pull weight depends on the full parts combination, tolerances, connector geometry, trigger shoe, plunger spring, striker condition, lubrication, and break-in.
Ammo / Primer Reality Check
Lighter striker springs can reduce trigger pull feel, but they can also reduce primer strike energy. That means ammo choice matters. Some primers are softer, some are harder, and your pistol does not care about your feelings.
- Test your actual defensive ammo before carrying
- Watch for light primer strikes
- Do not judge reliability from dry fire alone
- If ignition gets questionable, step back up in spring weight
What it does
This kit lets you tune striker spring weight to change trigger feel and ignition behavior. A lighter spring can help reduce trigger pull weight, while a heavier spring can improve primer ignition strength. The goal is not “lightest possible.” The goal is reliable, repeatable, and safe.
Why it’s worth it
This is where smart Glock tuning starts separating itself from kitchen-table foolishness. Springs are cheap, but the wrong spring setup can make a good pistol act like it was assembled during a thunderstorm. The right spring weight helps balance trigger feel, reliability, and the way your gun actually runs.

Install notes
Install one spring at a time and test before changing more parts. If you change the striker spring, connector, trigger return spring, and safety plunger spring all at once, you may not know which part caused the issue if something acts up. Tune like a craftsman, not a raccoon in a toolbox.
Verify before you buy
Verify your Glock model uses standard Glock-pattern striker springs. After installation, test reset, trigger safety, striker engagement, drop safety function, and live-fire ignition with the ammo you actually plan to use.
