The CMC Triggers AR-15/AR-10 Match Trigger is a self-contained single-stage drop-in trigger with a flat trigger shoe, small-pin fitment, and factory-set pull weight options. Available options are organized below under Variants.
Fitment
- Fits mil-spec AR-15 and AR-10 style rifles.
- Small-pin version for .154" trigger/hammer pin receivers.
- Designed as a self-contained drop-in trigger assembly.
Does NOT fit
- Does not fit large-pin receivers unless the correct large-pin trigger version is used.
- Does not fit M&P 15-22 unless using the correct M&P 15-22 version.
- Not user adjustable.
What it does
This trigger replaces the factory fire control group with a self-contained match-grade single-stage unit. The flat shoe gives a consistent finger placement and a more linear press, while the preset pull weight keeps the setup simple.
Why it’s worth it
This is the cleaner route when you want a crisp AR trigger without tuning springs, polishing mystery parts, or pretending a gritty stock trigger is “character.” The 2.5 lb version leans harder toward precision and competition use; the 3.5 lb version gives a little more margin for general rifle work.

Install notes
Do not exceed CMC’s pin-set screw guidance. CMC notes 12 in-lb maximum for pin-set screws on applicable drop-in trigger installations. After installation, perform a full safety and function check before live fire.
Verify before you buy
Verify your receiver uses small .154" trigger pins and confirm whether 2.5 lb or 3.5 lb fits your use. Lighter triggers are faster and cleaner, but they demand better discipline. Funny how physics doesn’t care about excuses.
