AR-15 – Flash Suppressing Compensator – 5.56 / .223 – 1/2x28
PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK DETAILS AND FITMENT BEFORE PURCHASE.
Primary Weapons Systems makes the FSC556 MOD 2 as a flash suppressing compensator for 5.56 NATO / .223 Rem rifles with 1/2x28 threads. It is designed to reduce recoil and muzzle rise as the primary job while still providing enough flash suppression to keep blast out of the optic and line of sight better than many aggressive comps.
This is a real AR muzzle device with a real thread pitch and a real job. Not universal. Not close enough. Not something to buy based on how tactical the product photo feels.
Fitment
- Fits 5.56 NATO / .223 Rem barrels threaded 1/2x28
- Common AR-15 muzzle device thread pattern
Does NOT fit
- Does not fit AK-pattern M14x1 LH barrels
- Does not fit 5/8x24 .30 caliber barrels
What it does
This device combines muzzle control with flash suppression, helping the shooter manage recoil and keep the sight picture cleaner during follow-up shots.
Why it’s worth it
The FSC556 has stuck around for a reason. It gives strong control without being one of those comps that feels like it is trying to remove your fillings with overpressure.
