The KCI USA 50 Round Drum is a compact-for-a-drum AR-15 magazine for .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO. It keeps the same big-capacity attitude as the 100 round version, but with less bulk, less weight, and a price that makes a little more business sense.

What it does
This drum gives a compatible AR-pattern rifle 50 rounds in a single drum body while staying lighter and less ridiculous than a 100 round setup. It is still a drum, so practicality only goes so far, but it is the saner drum of the two.
Why it’s worth it
If you are going to carry an AR drum at all, this is the less obnoxious version. Better price, less bulk, and still enough capacity to scratch the same itch for range use and high-volume shooting.
