This Daniel Defense collapsible buttstock is built for mil-spec receiver extension tubes and gives AR-style rifles a solid adjustable stock with soft-touch overmolding and included buttpad options. It is made for shooters who want less wobble, a better cheek weld, and a stock that does not feel like it came free in a cereal box.

Fitment
- Fits mil-spec AR receiver extension / buffer tubes.
- Fits AR-15 rifle setups using a mil-spec carbine receiver extension.
- Also suitable for AR-10 style builds only when the rifle uses a compatible mil-spec receiver extension.
Does NOT fit
- Does not fit commercial-spec receiver extension tubes.
- Does not include buffer tube, buffer, spring, castle nut, or end plate.
What it does
This stock slides onto a mil-spec receiver extension and provides adjustable length of pull, a repeatable cheek weld, and rear-end control for the rifle. Daniel Defense designed it to reduce the forward and lateral play common in many collapsible stocks.
Why it’s worth it
A sloppy stock makes the whole rifle feel cheaper than it is. This one gives you a cleaner shoulder position, better contact surface, and practical buttpad options without needing a friction lock or tensioning gimmick.

Tools needed
No special tools are normally needed to slide the stock onto a compatible mil-spec receiver extension.
Install notes
Confirm the receiver extension is mil-spec before ordering. Commercial tubes are larger and will cause fitment problems. This is exactly the kind of tiny detail that saves you from inventing new swear words.
Verify before you buy
Verify your rifle uses a mil-spec carbine receiver extension. If your tube is commercial-spec, this is not the correct stock.
