Glock 17 Gen 5 – Threaded Barrel – 9mm 1/2x28 – Includes Micro Carry Comp

PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK DETAILS AND FITMENT BEFORE PURCHASE.

This Griffin Armament ATM barrel is a threaded drop-in match barrel for Glock 17 Gen 5 9mm pistols, finished in black nitride and bundled with Griffin’s Micro Carry Comp. It is machined from 416R stainless steel, uses a 1/2x28 thread pitch, and is built for shooters who want suppressor-ready capability or a compact compensator setup without moving into goofy oversized carry-gun territory.

The included Micro Carry Comp is part of what makes this setup worth paying attention to. It gives the barrel real utility out of the box instead of making the buyer chase separate parts just to finish the job.

Fitment

  • Fits Glock 17 Gen 5 9mm
  • Compatible with Glock 47 and Glock 49 slides as stated by Griffin Armament
  • Thread pitch: 1/2x28

Does NOT fit

  • Do not assume fit with earlier Glock 17 generations
  • Do not assume fit with non-9mm Glock variants

What it does

This replaces the factory barrel with a threaded 9mm barrel that supports muzzle accessories or suppressor use. The included Micro Carry Comp also gives the gun a compact compensator option that is intended to reduce muzzle movement without turning the pistol into a brick.

Why it’s worth it

There are cheaper barrels. There are also plenty of barrels that nickel-and-dime the buyer by selling the useful part separately. This setup makes more sense because the barrel specs are right, the included comp adds real value, and the package still sits in a realistic retail lane for a serious Glock upgrade.

Install notes

This is positioned by Griffin as a drop-in barrel, but a smart buyer still function-checks, verifies ammo reliability, and confirms point of impact after installation. Any pistol with a comp or suppressor setup deserves live-fire testing instead of internet optimism.

Verify before you buy

Verify your exact pistol model, generation, caliber, and intended muzzle accessory setup before purchase. If you plan to run a suppressor, confirm thread compatibility and test with your chosen ammo.
