Glock Gen 1–5 – Extended Slide Lock – Full-Size G-Series Compatible Frames
PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK DETAILS AND FITMENT BEFORE PURCHASE.
This Cross Armory Extended Slide Lock is built to make slide removal easier on compatible Glock Gen 1–5 full-size and larger-frame models, along with several G-Series compatible frames. It gives your fingers more purchase than the factory-style slide lock without turning the side of the pistol into a snag magnet.
The big win here is Gen 5 compatibility. Cross Armory specifically notes this part was designed for Gen 5 slide-lock geometry while staying backward compatible with Gen 1–4. That matters because older Gen 1–4 slide locks are often sold like they magically work in Gen 5 frames. Spoiler: magic is not fitment.
Fitment
Compatible Frame Setups
- Fits compatible Glock Gen 1–5 full-frame models 17–41.
- Compatible with Polymer80 / P80 models according to Cross Armory.

Does NOT Fit
Do Not Guess Slide-Lock Fitment
- Does NOT fit Glock 36.
- Does NOT fit Glock 42.
- Does NOT fit Glock 43.
- Do not assume compatibility with slimline Glock models unless specifically verified.
- Do not assume fitment with aftermarket frames unless they use compatible Glock Gen 1–5 slide-lock geometry.
Slide Lock Fit Guide
| Setup | Fit Status | Main Check |
|---|---|---|
| Glock Gen 1–4 full-frame models 17–41 | Compatible | Verify exact model and non-slimline frame |
| Glock Gen 5 full-frame models 17–41 | Compatible | Use Gen 5-compatible slide-lock geometry only |
| Polymer80 / P80 compatible builds | Listed compatible by Cross Armory | Verify frame uses compatible slide-lock geometry |
| PSA Dagger, ZEV, Shadow Systems, and similar G-Series frames | Frame-dependent | Confirm the frame is built around compatible Glock-pattern slide-lock geometry |
Note: Slide-lock fitment depends on the frame generation, slide-lock geometry, spring engagement, and aftermarket frame design. Function must be checked after installation before live use.
What It Does
This extended slide lock gives a better grip surface for taking the slide off during cleaning, inspection, and maintenance. It is not the slide stop lever. This is the takedown / slide-lock piece used when field stripping the pistol.
The extended shape gives your fingers more surface to grab so you are not fighting a tiny slick factory-style part every time the slide needs to come off.
Why It’s Worth It
Factory slide locks can be small, slick, and annoying, especially if your hands are sweaty, oily, cold, or tired. This part keeps the function simple but gives you more control when removing the slide.
No magic fairy dust here. Just a small part that makes maintenance less of a knuckle-fight. Sometimes that is exactly what the build needs.

Verify Before You Buy
Verify Before You Buy
- Verify your exact firearm model before ordering.
- Verify your pistol is a compatible Glock Gen 1–5 full-frame model 17–41 or a compatible G-Series frame.
- Verify your setup is not a Glock 36, Glock 42, Glock 43, or unverified slimline-frame model.
- Verify aftermarket frames use compatible Glock-pattern slide-lock geometry.
- This is the slide lock / takedown lock, not the slide stop lever. Different part, different job. Mixing those up is how the parts drawer starts laughing at you.
