Accu-Punch Hammer & Roll Pin Punch Set
This Accu-Punch set is built for firearm work where roll pins love to fight back. You get a balanced hammer and dedicated roll pin punches so you can drive pins cleanly with less slipping, less deformation, and way less “why did that scratch happen?” regret. It also includes a pin alignment tool to help you start tiny pins straight before you commit to the strike.
Fitment
- Made for roll pins commonly found in firearms (assembly/disassembly, maintenance, and upgrades).
- Includes roll pin punch sizes: 1/16", 5/64", 3/32", 1/8", 9/64", 5/32", 3/16", 7/32", 1/4".
- Includes a pin alignment tool and a stand-up case to keep everything organized.
Does NOT fit
- Not the best choice for solid/straight pins—roll pin punches are designed to seat into hollow pins. For solid pins, use straight/flat pin punches instead.
- Not a substitute for an AR armorer’s wrench, torque wrench, or barrel tools—this set is for pins and controlled striking work.
Tools needed
- Bench block (highly recommended) to support the part and prevent flexing while driving pins.
- Painter’s tape to protect nearby finish when you’re working close to the receiver/frame.
- Safety glasses (because springs and pins do not respect eyeballs).
Install notes
- Use the right punch size: match the punch to the roll pin so the tip seats properly—too small slips, too big mushrooms the pin.
- Start it straight: use the included pin alignment tool to get the pin started cleanly before switching to a punch.
- Control the strike: light taps to start, then firm controlled hits—don’t “Thor smash” precision parts.
- Hammer heads: the included hammer uses interchangeable heads (rubber, brass, steel, nylon). Use softer faces when you’re near finish-sensitive parts.
- Pro move: if a pin feels like it’s binding, stop and re-support the workpiece—most bent pins come from poor support, not weak punches.
⚠ Install & Compatibility Disclaimer: Firearm disassembly and pin work should be performed safely and correctly. Always confirm the firearm is unloaded, support the workpiece properly, and perform a full function/safety check after reassembly. If you’re unsure, use a qualified armorer/gunsmith.
