Universal Rail Weapon Light – TLR-7X – Multi-Fuel – Black/FDE
The Streamlight TLR-7X is a compact multi-fuel rail-mounted weapon light built for compatible pistol rails using Streamlight’s key kit system. It runs on either one Streamlight SL-B9 USB-C rechargeable battery pack or one CR123A lithium battery, giving you a compact light body with flexible battery options.
Available options are organized below under Variants. This parent card covers Black and Flat Dark Earth versions, with either the CR123A battery package or the SL-B9 USB rechargeable kit package.
Fitment
The Streamlight TLR-7X fits many compact and full-size pistols with compatible accessory rails. Proper fit depends on using the correct Streamlight rail key for your pistol.
- Glock: Confirmed Streamlight fitment includes most railed Glock full-size and compact models. Glock models up to Gen 4 typically use the UNIV-1 key. Glock Gen 5 models typically use the 1913-1 key.
- SIG Sauer: Confirmed Streamlight fitment includes P320 Compact, P320 Carry, P320 Full Size, M17, M18, P365 XMacro/Fuse, P220/SP2022-series pistols, and 1911 GSR models when using the correct Streamlight rail key.
- Smith & Wesson: Confirmed Streamlight fitment includes select M&P Full Size, M&P Compact, and M&P9 Shield EZ M2.0 models.
- Springfield Armory: Confirmed Streamlight fitment includes select XD models, XD Mod.2 models, and Hellcat Pro.
- Walther: Confirmed Streamlight fitment includes PDP Full Size and PDP Compact models with 4-inch barrels or longer.
- Other confirmed platforms: Streamlight also lists select Beretta, CZ, FN, HK, Kimber, Ruger, Taurus, and Fusion Firearms models in its TLR-7/TLR-8 compatibility guide.
- Universal / 1913 rail fitment: May fit other firearms with compatible Universal or 1913 Picatinny-style rails, but those should be verified before purchase.
Does NOT fit
- Not for standard SIG P365/P365X/P365XL proprietary-rail models. Those typically require a TLR-7X Sub SIG version.
- Not for Glock 43X MOS or Glock 48 MOS proprietary slimline rails. Those typically require a TLR-7X Sub Glock version.
- Does not guarantee holster compatibility. Your holster must be made for your exact firearm model with the Streamlight TLR-7X installed.
What it does
The TLR-7X adds a compact white weapon light to compatible rail-equipped pistols. It uses ambidextrous rear paddle switches with high and low switch options, a safe-off feature to help prevent accidental activation, and a front-loading battery system so the light can be serviced without removing it from the firearm.
Why it’s worth it
This is a strong compact-light option when you want real output without hanging a full-size brick off the dust cover. The SL-B9 battery gives the highest verified output, while the CR123A option gives longer runtime and easy battery availability. Simple, useful, and not trying to be a truck headlight with buttons.

Tools needed
Use the included Streamlight mounting tools and key kit. Do not force the wrong key. That is how good gear gets Bubba’d into sadness.
Install notes
Install only on an unloaded firearm. Confirm the rail key locks properly, verify the clamp is secure, test switch access with your normal grip, and confirm your holster fully covers the trigger guard with the light installed.
Verify before you buy
Verify your exact pistol model, rail type, Streamlight rail key fitment, and holster compatibility before ordering. The TLR-7X fits many compact and full-size railed pistols, but it is not the same light as the TLR-7X Sub. Slimline and proprietary-rail pistols like standard SIG P365/P365X/P365XL and Glock 43X MOS/Glock 48 MOS usually need a TLR-7X Sub model instead. Weapon lights are fitment-sensitive. Guessing here is how good money gets turned into a return label.
