AR-15 – Muzzle Brake – 5.56 NATO – 1/2x28 PROCOMP

PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK DETAILS AND FITMENT BEFORE PURCHASE.

The SureFire PROCOMP is a standalone 5.56 muzzle brake for AR-15, M4, and M16-pattern rifles with 1/2x28 muzzle threads. It is built to reduce recoil impulse and muzzle rise using SureFire’s brake geometry, but it does not serve as a suppressor adapter.

This is the budget-smarter move for the buyer who wants flatter shooting without paying for SOCOM suppressor-mount hardware.

Fitment

  • Fits 5.56 NATO / .223 Rem AR-15, M4, and M16-pattern rifles with 1/2x28 muzzle threads
  • Standalone brake for non-suppressor-mount setups

Does NOT fit

  • Does not fit barrels with thread patterns other than 1/2x28
  • Does not mount SureFire SOCOM suppressors
  • Not a flash hider

What it does

The PROCOMP cuts recoil impulse and muzzle rise so the rifle tracks flatter and faster between shots.

Why it’s worth it

It gives the shooter real brake performance without paying suppressor-mount price. Good fit for straightforward range, comp, or duty-style rifle setups where a can mount is not in the plan.
