Glock Gen 1-4 – Trigger Spring – 6.0 lb Extra Power

PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK DETAILS AND FITMENT BEFORE PURCHASE.

The IronKells Armory 6.0 lb Trigger Spring is a simple drop-in upgrade for Glock Gen 1-4 pistols that increases rearward trigger assist to reduce perceived pull weight and keep the trigger return feeling more positive. Ghost specifically states this spring is for Gen 1-4 Glocks and that it does not work on Glock 42, 43, or Gen 5 pistols.

This is one of those tiny parts people overlook until they run a good one. If you are tuning a Glock trigger and want a lighter-feeling press without touching striker force, this spring makes sense. It also plays well with connector changes and polished internals when the rest of the setup is built correctly. It reduces trigger pull weight by pulling the trigger to the rear with more power and does not negatively affect reliability or strike force.

Fitment

  • Fits Glock Gen 1, 2, 3, and 4 pistols
  • For standard Glock-pattern trigger housings that use this style of trigger spring
  • Useful for trigger tuning on compatible full-size, compact, subcompact, and large-frame Gen 1-4 Glock platforms

Does NOT fit

  • Does not fit Glock 42
  • Does not fit Glock 43
  • Does not fit Glock Gen 5 pistols

What it does

This spring increases trigger return assist from the rear, which usually makes the trigger feel lighter on the press and more positive on reset. In plain English, it helps the trigger do more of the work for you. It does not replace the connector or striker spring, but it can noticeably change trigger feel when paired with the right parts. Its an assisting spring that reduces pull weight by pulling the trigger rearward with more power.

Why it’s worth it

For a few-dollar part, this punches above its weight. It is cheap, useful, easy to bundle, and gives a real trigger-feel improvement without pretending to be magic. This is the kind of small upgrade that earns its place because it actually changes how the gun feels, not because somebody slapped tactical poetry on a baggie.

Tools needed

A Glock punch or armorer tool is usually all you need to access the trigger housing and swap the spring. A bench mat helps. So does not launching tiny parts into low earth orbit.

Install notes

This is a drop-in part, but proper installation still matters. Install the spring correctly, verify trigger return, verify reset, and perform full function checks before live fire. If the pistol already has mixed aftermarket internals, make sure the whole trigger stack is working together instead of assuming every problem is the new part’s fault.

Verify before you buy

Verify your pistol is a compatible Glock Gen 1-4 model and not a Glock 42, 43, or Gen 5 pistol. Also verify your current trigger housing and internals if the gun already has aftermarket trigger parts installed.
