This kit is built for the real world: quick cleans at the range, and proper deep cleaning at home. You get a caliber-specific Bore Boss pull-through for fast maintenance any time you shoot, plus a full rod-and-brush setup for when you’re actually doing it right. Bottom line: less fouling, fewer problems, and a rifle that stays consistent instead of gradually turning into a gritty guess.
What it’s for:
- Routine bore cleaning for .30-caliber class rifles using the .308 bore family
- Quick range/field maintenance after shooting
- Deep cleaning at home to remove carbon and fouling from the bore and keep performance consistent
- Keeping a dedicated kit that stays organized instead of turning into a bag of random dirty parts

Tools needed
- Cleaning solvent (for carbon and fouling)
- Light oil (for corrosion protection after cleaning)
- Rag/paper towels (wipe-down and cleanup)
Install notes
- Clear the rifle completely before cleaning.
- Quick clean: use the Bore Boss after shooting to knock out fresh fouling before it hardens.
- Deep clean: use the coated rod + bronze brush for stubborn fouling, then patches/jag or slotted tip to finish clean.
- Nylon vs bronze: nylon is great for lighter cleaning and solvent work; bronze is for when fouling is being stubborn.
- Don’t get medieval: controlled passes beat aggressive scrubbing that risks unnecessary wear or stuck patches.
