More on the way!

Real Avid Gun Boss Multi-Kit .22 Cal Rifle Cleaning Kit (AVGBMK22)

Rimfire gets filthy fast—powder residue and waxy bullet lube build up in the bore and action like it pays rent. This caliber-specific .22 rifle kit is built to handle both realities: a Bore Boss for quick “right now” cleaning in the field, and a full rod + brush setup for a proper deep clean at home. Everything stores in a molded case that lays flat when opened, so you’re not chasing parts around the bench.

What it’s for:

  • Maintaining .22 caliber rifles by cleaning the bore, helping with action area wipe-down, and reducing overall fouling
  • Quick post-range cleaning to prevent buildup from hardening into stubborn gunk
  • Seasonal/storage cleaning to help protect against corrosion and function issues

What’s included:

  • .22 caliber Bore Boss (caliber-specific pull-through cleaner for quick bore cleaning)
  • 4-piece coated steel cleaning rod (for deeper, controlled cleaning)
  • Ergonomic T-handle (better leverage and control vs. tiny kit handles)
  • .22 caliber phosphor bronze bore brush (scrubs fouling when it’s stubborn)
  • .22 caliber nylon bore brush (lighter scrubbing and solvent work)
  • .22 caliber bore mop (apply solvent/oil and finish the bore)
  • Bore patch jag + slotted tip (two patch-running options)
  • 25 cleaning patches
  • Accu-Grip detailing pick (for tight corners and stubborn buildup)
  • 2 Smart Brushes: narrow brush + diamond-shape brush (detail cleaning and scrubbing small areas)
  • Molded butterfly-style case (holds components in place and lays flat when open)

Fitment

  • Designed for: .22 caliber rifles

Does NOT fit

  • Not a universal cleaning kit for larger rifle calibers or shotgun gauges
  • Not intended as a dedicated handgun kit (handgun-specific kits typically use different rod lengths and layouts)

Tools needed

  • Solvent (rimfire-specific solvent helps with waxy/lube-heavy fouling)
  • Light oil/protectant (post-clean corrosion protection)
  • Rag/paper towels (wipe-down and cleanup)

Install notes

  • Safety first: unload and verify clear before cleaning—every time.
  • Quick clean: run the Bore Boss after shooting to knock out fresh fouling before it bakes in.
  • Deep clean: use the coated rod + brush (nylon for lighter work, bronze for stubborn fouling), then patches to finish clean.
  • Patch tips: start with a lightly-solvent patch, then dry patches until they come out mostly clean. Don’t store the rifle soaking wet.
  • Don’t force it: if anything binds, back out and re-center—forcing rods/patches is how people damage crowns or get stuck patches.
