This Cross Armory +5 Magazine Extension is built for compatible Glock 17, Glock 22, and Glock 31 Gen 1–5 magazines. It replaces the factory magazine base plate and adds five additional rounds to compatible standard-capacity Glock brand or Glock-clone magazine bodies.
The extension is CNC-machined from aircraft-grade aluminum and weighs about 1.35 ounces, keeping the profile slim, light, and practical. Cross Armory designed it with grip slots for better handling, an included upgraded feeding spring, and a compact shape that they state fits all magwells and holsters.
More capacity is good. More capacity that still feeds correctly is the part that actually matters.

Note: Magazine extensions must be tested after installation. Capacity, spring tension, follower movement, magazine body condition, and ammunition can all affect feeding reliability.
What It Does
This extension replaces the factory magazine base plate and adds five rounds of capacity to compatible Glock 17, Glock 22, and Glock 31 magazines. The included upgraded feeding spring is designed to support feeding from the first round through the last round after the extension is installed.
Why It’s Worth It
A magazine extension needs to do more than look aggressive. It has to add capacity, stay secure, feed correctly, and avoid turning the bottom of the magazine into a bulky brick. Install Notes
Install and Test Before Use
- Unload the firearm completely and remove all ammunition from the work area before working on any magazine.
- Disassemble the compatible magazine body before installing the extension.
- Install the extension with the included upgraded magazine spring.
- Secure the retention screw according to Cross Armory’s install guidance.
- Cross Armory recommends using red Loctite for permanent screw retention.
- After installation, load and test the magazine carefully before relying on it for serious use.
