Glock 19/23/32 Compact – Recoil Spring – IronKells Armory Flat Wire – 13 lb / 15 lb

PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK DETAILS, GUIDE ROD TYPE, AND FITMENT BEFORE PURCHASE.

This IronKells Armory flat-wire recoil spring is built for compatible compact Glock-pattern pistols in the medium-frame family, including Glock 19, 23, and 32 models. It gives you a cleaner recoil spring option for tuning, replacement, and function testing without trusting your pistol to bargain-bin mystery wire.

Available in 13 lb and 15 lb spring-weight options, this listing is for shooters and builders who want to tune slide movement around their actual setup, ammo, recoil feel, or compact-frame build. These are individual springs sold by selected weight. Spring weight matters. Guess wrong and the pistol will become your unpaid instructor.

Variants / Options

  • 13 lb: Compact flat-wire recoil tuning spring
  • 15 lb: Compact flat-wire recoil tuning spring

Fitment

  • Fits compatible Glock compact medium-frame models including Glock 19, Glock 23, and Glock 32.
  • May also fit compatible Glock 25 and Glock 38 compact medium-frame recoil setups when the guide rod system matches this spring profile.
  • Medium-frame springs in this family use 31 coils.
  • Designed for compatible flat-wire guide rod systems in this Glock compact-size platform.
  • May fit compatible captured or non-captured / uncaptured guide rods when the guide rod shaft, spring seat, end cap, and retaining cap are designed for this flat-wire spring profile and diameter.

Does NOT Fit

  • Does not fit full-size, subcompact, slimline, or large-frame Glock models.
  • Does not include a guide rod.
  • Does not fit factory Glock dual recoil spring assemblies unless specifically confirmed compatible.
  • Does not fit round-wire-only guide rods or guide rod assemblies.
  • Does not fit any guide rod where the shaft, spring seat, end cap, or retaining cap is not designed for this flat-wire spring profile and diameter.
  • Do not assume Gen 4 or Gen 5 dual recoil spring compatibility unless your setup is specifically converted and verified.

Guide Rod Compatibility

This is a flat-wire recoil spring. It is designed for compatible compact Glock guide rod systems that accept this flat-wire spring profile and diameter.

This spring may be used with compatible captured guide rod assemblies or compatible non-captured / uncaptured guide rods, but the guide rod shaft, spring seat, end cap, and retaining cap must match the spring profile. Flat-wire and round-wire recoil springs are not automatically interchangeable.

What It Does

This recoil spring helps control slide return and cycling behavior. Changing spring weight can affect how the gun tracks, how the slide cycles, and how the pistol behaves with lighter ammo, hotter ammo, compensators, or other modified setups. This is not a cosmetic part. It changes how the gun runs.

Why It’s Worth It

The value here is durability, consistency, and practical tuning room. If you are tuning a compact Glock build or replacing a tired spring with something better than basic replacement stock, this gives you a clean flat-wire option under the IronKells Armory Springs line.

Tuning Note

Recoil tuning depends on the full setup: ammo pressure, slide mass, optic weight, compensator design, guide rod type, lubrication, grip, and break-in. Test the setup. The internet gives opinions. The range gives receipts.

Tools Needed

No special tools are usually required for a normal recoil spring swap, but you do need the correct compatible guide rod setup for this spring.

Install Notes

These springs are commonly paired with aftermarket flat-wire-compatible guide rods. Recoil spring buffers are not recommended because they reduce slide travel and can hurt feeding reliability or fail during firing. After installation, function test the pistol and verify reliability with your actual ammo before trusting the setup for carry or duty use.

Verify Before You Buy

  • Verify your exact Glock model, frame family, and guide rod compatibility before ordering.
  • Verify that your guide rod is designed for flat-wire recoil springs.
  • Verify whether you are staying with a stock-style recoil setup or tuning around compensators, reduced-power loads, or other modified configurations.
  • Flat-wire and round-wire recoil springs are not automatically interchangeable.
  • Spring weight matters. Guessing here is how people build themselves a headache.
