Glock Forge Files

Real-world Glock troubleshooting, compatibility, triggers, recoil systems, compensators, optics, magazines, ammunition, maintenance, holster fitment and safety — built from hands-on experience, testing, manufacturer information and the problems shooters actually run into.

Compatibility   |   Reliability   |   Ammo   |   Optics   |   Recoil   |   Triggers   |   Safety

Pick the problem, part or system you're working on. Glock systems overlap. A magazine problem can look like a feeding problem, an optic screw can create an extraction problem, ammunition can expose a recoil-system problem, and one trigger change can affect ignition and safety at the same time.

Magazine presentation affects feeding. Ammunition affects slide energy. Recoil springs affect both rearward travel and return to battery. Optic screws can interfere with extractor components. Trigger changes can affect ignition margin and safety geometry.

The pistol is a system. The Forge treats it like one.

The IronKells Standard

Glock compatibility is full of parts that look almost identical until one dimension matters. Generation, model, caliber, slide cut, optic plate, barrel geometry, magazine body, recoil system, ammunition and aftermarket tolerances can all change the answer.

If the exact combination matters, verify the exact combination. “It should fit” is not the same thing as “we know it works.” Manufacturer documentation establishes the factory baseline; hands-on testing and documented real-world behavior fill in the aftermarket gaps when the evidence supports it.
